About VR
The VR Assistive Technology Assessment is a grant-funded project that brings DETR and NCED together. The two agencies assess individuals and recommend and provide AT to help people with disabilities at work.
DETR refers people to be assessed at NCED through this project. Then a recommendation of AT is made. VR will buy the AT, which then becomes the client’s property.
The recommended AT can be as simple as a lap tray for someone in a wheelchair or as high-tech as an iPad or a Dynavox speech device.
