Reno “Beyond Chicken Nuggets and French Fries” Workshop
Picky eater in your household? Nip that problem in the bud and take their taste buds…”Beyond Chicken Nuggets and French Fries.”
PBS “Beyond Chicken Nuggets and French Fries” is a workshop designed for parents of children ages 2-18 who have difficulty getting their child to eat a variety of nutritional foods.
PBS “Beyond Chicken Nuggets and French Fries” will help you:
- Understand possible causes of eating problems.
- Learn general eating and feeding strategies.
- Develop specific ways to address a variety of eating problems.
- Implement strategies to prevent eating problems in the future.

Las Vegas “Use Your Words!” Workshop
This is a workshop for parents and support staff of individuals who have difficulty communicating and who currently or may be likely to engage in challenging behavior as a result. PBS “Use Your Words!” will help you:
- Identify an appropriate form of communication.
- Understand the wants or needs associated with challenging behavior.
- Replace problem behavior with appropriate communication.
- Teach others how to help the individual you are supporting communicate.

Do you know someone with behaviors that make it difficult to participate in school, family life, work or community activities?
“Our goal is to give you the skills needed to improve your child’s quality of life, and the life of your family.”
PBS Nevada’s “Addressing Challenging Behavior” workshop is designed to help you:
- Define and understand the cause of the problem behavior.
- Identify strategies to decrease problem behavior, improving quality of life.
- Teach appropriate behaviors which enhance quality of life.
- Improve the quality of life so that person can be a part of yours.
There are a total of 4 sessions.

Fee: There is no class fee, however a ONE TIME donation of $40 is requested to cover the cost of dinner. The donation is tax deductible and you will receive a receipt.
Limited childcare available for ages 2-10 years old.
