About CAC
The NCED’s Community Advisory Committee has been very active and has become quite autonomous. The CAC adopted bylaws in September 2009, after much discussion. Presented with several draft examples of other CACs, they made changes to ensure that the Nevada CAC represents the entire state. They also noted in the bylaws that the two co-chairs should always represent two geographic parts of the state. Currently, both co-chairs are people with disabilities. One is the President of People First of Nevada.
